Are You Being Forced to Move in With Family? Get Some Room Dividers
With the variety of financial disasters going on in people's lives, it's becoming more and more common for family members to move into the same household to save money. This can leave everyone feeling a little cramped and invite a complete lack of privacy. If your bedrooms and living spaces are being over run then divide them into personal sections using room dividers.
A room divider is an ancient tool used to divide large open spaces into smaller areas that have their own specific purpose. While most common on lofts and college dorm rooms, they can also be great in kids bedrooms and even living room spaces that are needing a new job.
What if your living room must now double as a bedroom? With a room divider you can give those people in the new "bedroom" a sense of privacy and personal space. During the day the divider can be easily moved out of the way, the bedding put away and you have your living room back.
In the kids room you may be housing more than just one or two kids now. No problem. Get a room divider or two and subdivide that room into separate areas. You can either make play spaces and sleeping spaces, or you can give each kid their own complete space. It will depend on the disposition of the kids in the room and the total room size.
Being forced to live with extended family can certainly be an adjustment, but in the interest of everyone's safety and sanity there are ways to make it enjoyable, entertaining and comfortable.
